The Parker 89 carver chair is the armchair companion to the Parker 88 dining chair, designed with the same elegant teak frame and refined mid-century proportions. Distinguished by its sculpted armrests, the 89 offers both comfort and presence, making it a perfect end chair for a dining suite or a versatile occasional chair.
Timber Restoration
Full Strip & Repair — the teak frame is stripped back to raw timber, carefully inspected, and repaired where required.
Fine Sanding & Detailing — all joints, edges, and sculptural details are hand-sanded to restore the chair’s crisp, original lines.
Durable Finish — refinished with multiple coats to enhance the depth of the teak grain and provide a hard-wearing protective surface.
Upholstery Process
Webbing Replacement — high-quality Italian webbing is installed to provide enduring support and comfort.
Support Cloth — placed between webbing and foam to reduce friction and extend cushion life.
High-Resilient Foam — precision cut and crimped over the frame edges to maintain clean lines and reduce fabric stress.
Tailored Upholstery — available in your choice of premium fabric or leather, expertly applied to highlight the chair’s mid-century profile.
This meticulous restoration ensures that the Parker 89 retains its authentic mid-century design while being enhanced for everyday comfort and durability.
