The Parker 61 highback carver chair is the armchair companion to the Parker 60 dining chair, designed in solid teak with Parker’s signature high sculpted backrest. With the addition of elegant timber armrests, the 61 carver offers both presence and comfort, making it a perfect end chair for a dining setting or a refined occasional chair.
Timber Restoration
Full Strip & Repair — teak frame stripped back to raw timber, carefully inspected, and repaired where required.
Fine Sanding & Detailing — all joints, edges, and sculptural lines hand-sanded to restore original definition.
Durable Finish — multiple coats applied for depth, warmth, and long-lasting protection suitable for everyday use.
Upholstery Process
Webbing Replacement — fitted with premium Italian webbing for long-lasting support.
Support Cloth — installed between webbing and foam to prevent wear and extend cushion life.
High-Resilient Foam — crimped over the frame edges to maintain shape and avoid fabric stress.
Tailored Upholstery — finished in your choice of premium fabric or leather, cut and applied to highlight the chair’s elegant mid-century profile.
This restoration ensures the Parker 61 carver retains its striking mid-century presence while offering enhanced comfort and resilience, making it both a statement piece and a practical seating option.
