The Parker 105 dining chair, designed and crafted in the 1960s from solid Blackwood, is one of Parker’s most iconic mid-century dining pieces. Its elegantly curved backrest and refined proportions capture the timeless craftsmanship that made Parker a household name in Australia.
Each chair is fully restored by our team — many of whom trained and worked at Parker Furniture — ensuring both the timber and upholstery are brought back to their original integrity while being enhanced for modern durability.
Timber Restoration
Full Strip & Repair — frames are stripped back to raw Blackwood, carefully inspected, and repaired where required.
Fine Sanding & Detailing — attention to joints, edges, and carved details to ensure structural strength and original design lines.
Durable Finish — hand-polished with multiple coats for depth and warmth, creating a hard-wearing surface suitable for daily use.
Upholstery Process
Webbing Replacement — fitted with high-quality Italian webbing for long-lasting support.
Support Cloth Layer — inserted between webbing and foam to prevent rubbing and extend cushion life.
High-Resilient Foam — precision-cut and crimped onto the frame edges to maintain shape and reduce fabric stress.
Tailored Upholstery — upholstered in your choice of premium fabric or leather, with expert finishing to preserve the chair’s mid-century profile.
This process ensures that every Parker 105 chair not only looks as it did when it first left the factory, but also performs with greater comfort and durability than ever before.
