It's not often we manage to get our hands on magnificent pieces of this scale.  Most items of this stature remain with families for many years or generations.  So, with some luck and a dash of magic this magnificent heirloom could be yours.
A fine quality 18th Century French Provencal Wedding Armoire in walnut with rare hand carved chalice and wheat motifs.  The sides have raised panels and the original hardware includes large hinges and an escutcheon.
This beautiful WOW piece of furniture is perfect for storing all your beautiful china and glassware or use for your linens.
Dated 1796, which is carved into the wood at the bottom this amazing piece came from a chateau in France. All the shelves and the doors are lined with beautiful French toile fabric.  I have never seen an armoire as beautiful as this one.  Similar pieces, but not as old, on 1st Dibs for US $17,000.
Originally imported to Australia by Manning and Manning, French antique importers, Mosman, Sydney and has undergone all the criteria for imported furniture.  Elaborate carved armoires with extravagant locks became showpieces in French chateau as a way of displaying your wealth and were passed down as heirlooms from generation to generation.
Locking mechanisms in working condition, elegant and beautifully crafted, perfectly aged condition for a piece this old and rare (228 years old!), Patination and borer holes, as is common with furniture of this age.
