A very decorative set of Harrison Fisher postcards showing six stages of a couples life together, from the proposal to the wedding ceremony through to the arrival of their first child. The cards themselves date from the early 1900's, and have been framed much later, but what really sets them off is the Art Nouveau style mount with what could be "The Bluebird of Happiness" to the left, all of which is sitting on the gold ground. The frame measures 850 mm (33.5 inches) in width and is 410 mm (16 inches) in height. It is in very good condition.
Harrison Fisher (1875 or 77- 1934) was a prolific American magazine, book and newspaper illustrator who also designed posters and postcards.
