You will notice two different background colours in this carpet. There are two different reasons as to why. In the 1800s it was common to run out of a particular colour yarn. The other common reason is that carpet weavers wanted to express themselves in a way that would leave a mark of their handiwork. Either reason, it makes it a stunning antique carpet.
This is a unique one of a kind in the world type of carpet.
